Cornell's Wildlife Health Program provides in-hospital medical and surgical care to sick and wounded native wild animals and many exotic animal species. Additionally, veterinary faculty and students provide full-service health care to the more than 500 animals in the Burnet Park Zoo in Syracuse. This program also focuses on conservation efforts, studying the habits and habitat of various wild animals.
