  • Since the Cardiac Electrophysiology Laboratory at Weill Cornell Medical Center first opened its doors in 1987, it has grown into one of the busiest most and experienced laboratories in the country, performing over 2000 procedures annually. The laboratory offers the full complement of cardiac rhythm management diagnostic and therapeutic interventions utilizing the most advanced equipment and techniques. Services provided include:

    • Diagnostic cardiac electrophysiology testing
    • Radiofrequency catheter ablation of supraventricular arrhythmias (including atrial fibrillation) and ventricular arrhythmias
    • Pacemaker implantation
    • Internal cardioverter-defibrillator implantation (ICD)
    • Pacemaker and ICD lead removal (laser-assisted)
    • Electrical cardioversion
    • Cardiac resynchronization therapy (bi-ventricular pacing)
    • Tilt table testing
    • Pacemaker and ICD follow-up clinic
    • ICD support group
