abstract
An extension education model program was designed for a farm owner. The design was developed to serve the public in the following ways: Creating awareness about agriculture in a small farm setting; develop an awareness among farmers about potential alternatives in practice; and to demonstrate practices that have potential for starting small-scale farm operations.
The program is designed to serve the public in educating about agriculture in a small farm setting including potential alternatives in practice, small-scale practices, and start up options. The four subject areas of focus in this project are Dairy Replacements/Beef, Sheep/Goats, Organic Gardening, Cheese Production. Programs are organized in Goals/Objectives, Priority Audience, Expected Impact format. Technical materials are referenced for use by the parties considering the plans.
