research

research and scholarship focus

The focus of my research is to better understand the factors that explain differences in behavior and performance across firms. More specifically, my research interests and efforts fall into three overlapping areas:||1.Understanding the effects of public policy and competition on firm behavior and performance. |2.Understanding the impact of digital technology on firm behavior and performance in information goods industries. |3.Understanding the determinants and consequences of firm-level customer satisfaction. ||These research efforts are intended to help us better understand how firms can improve their performance. This includes examining how firms can better respond to changes in regulatory and competitive conditions, including new technology such as the Internet, and how firms can better manage their employees and competitive interactions, in order to provide higher quality products and better service to customers.
